GEM 80 FIP Communications options are available on the GEM 80 400 and 500 controllers.
On the GEM 80 500 FIP communications is added using the option module part number 9715-4020.
The GEM 80 400 has more options, all processors apart from the very last CPU’s to be produced have the FIP D type ports on the front of the CPU. But even though they have the 9 way D-type they do not all have FIP communications as standard. Earlier CPU’s required a FIP sub module (part number 25×8609 ) to be fitted to add FIP communications.
