If you require a Windows 10 compatible programming option for your GEM 80. Or if you require a USB to GEM 80 programming lead that will work with all GEM 80 PLC systems, Imagem video and Programmable Serial Communication modules then use the link below to get in touch, and we will be happy to help you,

AGP Version 4 GEM 80 Programming Software
The Advanced GEM 80 Programmer AGP Version 4 is the latest generation of the GEM 80 Windows programming package for the complete GEM 80 range of PLC’s including the early GEM 80-100/200 series, GEM 80-300/310 series, and the later GEM 80-400/500 series, IMAGEM, Paged Video, Programmable Serial Communications and ALSPA Micro 2 drives. The Windows 10 compatible package provides extensive facilities for developing, documenting, testing and maintaining your applications. The Advanced GEM 80 Programmer was designed to run under early versions of Windows including XP, but it will still run on the latest version of Microsoft Windows 10.

We can also offer training courses on AGP and the GEM 80 controllers. All of our current GEM 80 PLC training courses are also now available as virtual courses. Please use our contact us page to request training dates and to book a GEM 80 AGP PLC training course. Alternatively you can call our office to discuss your requirements on 01303 647490, we look forward to your call.

9020-4001 Gemesys Lead
Universal GEM 80 USB Programming Lead.
USB to GEM 80 20mA replaces the RS232 port requirement of the old Gemesys lead and creates a USB connection on your Windows PC.

The programming lead converter provides the 20mA power sources itself. The active 20mA current loop to USB converter enables your PC to communicate with all GEM 80 controllers that have the standard 15 way D type programming port that incorporates a 20mA current loop interface. This is all GEM 80 models, including Imagem and Programmable Serial Communication modules.
The 20mA current loop signals for the Tx and Rx communications are generated from the USB supply voltage in the interface itself. In the converter, two optocouplers are installed internally, which galvanically separate both signal directions from the PC. This provides optimal protection for your hardware.
The programming leads USB connector is plugged into a suitable USB port of the GEM 80 programming PC (typically using AGP software). The 15 way D Type connector is then plugged into the GEM 80 programming port. If the GEM 80 is switched on, the two LED’s in the leads housing light up and signal current flow in the loop. As soon as you establish a connection to the GEM 80 with your PC based programming software, the two green LED’s will flash to indicate the data connection between the PC and the GEM 80.

If you do require a copy of AGP or a GEM 80 programming lead then please use our contact details below or go to our contact us page to request further information. Alternatively you can always call our office to discuss your GEM 80 programming and connection requirements on 01303 647490, we are always happy to help out with your GEM 80 questions, we look forward to your call.
