This RSView/FactoryTalk SCADA training course has been designed to give Engineers an insight into the configuration and operation of the Windows PC based FactoryTalk SCADA software. The course will guide students through the basic design and configuration of the FactoryTalk SCADA systems through to the operation and communications to the Allen Bradley PLC systems.

Where possible, application specific exercises, actual drawings and plant projects will be used to allow the students to gain the greatest possible benefit from this course.

Objectives

• To introduce students to the concepts and operation of RSView/FactoryTalk development and runtime software.

• To be able to understand the structure of the FactoryTalk SCADA project within the FactoryTalk software.

• To be able to use the FactoryTalk SCADA programming software to create and develop a project and to be able to modify existing FactoryTalk SCADA projects.

• To be able to restore a FactoryTalk SCADA project backup into the SCADA PC.

Creating alarms and alarm displays.

Real time trending configuration and screen development.

Text list configuration and screen development.
