The Wago PFC (Programmable Fieldbus Controller) PLC training course has been designed to familiarise Electricians, Technicians and Maintenance Engineers with little or no experience of Wago PLC systems to the many different aspects associated with the operation, use and maintenance of Wago PFC systems and the e!cockpit programming software, using a Wago PFC CoDeSys based controller.

Where possible, application specific exercises, actual drawings and plant programs will be used to allow the students to gain the greatest possible benefit from the course.


OBJECTIVES

  • To introduce students to the concepts and operation of Wago PFC Ethernet Controllers.
  • To recognise and understand the hardware associated with a Wago PFC controller.
  • To be able to understand the structure of the Wago PFC project and to have the confidence to implement minor changes to the program.
  • To be able to use the e!cockpit programming software to connect online to monitor and search through the Wago PFC project to determine problems on plant.
  • To be able to locate and replace faulty modules by understanding and using the system diagnostics available when an error is present.
  • To be able to take a backup copy of the Wago PFC controller program and to be able to restore a program back into the controller from a backup copy.

Understanding Wago PFC series I/O modules, their plant wiring and LED indicators.

Addresses used in the Wago PFC range of controllers.

An overview of the Wago PFC project structure.

First steps using the Wago e!cockpit IEC 61131 programming software.

Creating a Wago PFC training project to demonstrate plant programming examples.

Wago PFC systems hardware configuration in e!cockpit.

Getting an online connection to the Wago PFC controller.

Downloading projects to the Wago PFC controller.

Online monitoring and the search facilities within Wago e!cockpit programming software.

An overview of the programming methods used on plant programs.

A demonstration of simple program editing and modifying plant programs.

Reading the Wago PFC controllers instruction set.

Programming examples including relay, maths, move, compare and logic functions.

Using and creating program documentation.

Using program documentation for fault finding purposes.

Analogue modules and analogue signal processing.

Diagnostic information and module information used for fault finding.

Wago PFC HTML visualisation operation and configuration.

If released to us two weeks before the scheduled course start date then we will include application exercises on your plant Wago PFC controller programs.
